1Can I speak with some of your existing clients?
A: Of course, all of our clients are so impressed with us and our system that they have agreed to take a call from anyone, just email us at sales@competitivetracking.co.uk letting us know the type of business you are in and we will happily supply a list of clients who are in the same or similar industry and area.
2Can I Fit a tracking unit myself?
No problem, we can let you have all the fitting instructions or we can supply a fitter for you.
3Can I rent a tracking unit for a short time?
Yes we will rent you a unit for any length of time, contact rentals@competitivetracking.co.uk stating what you need to do and how long you will need it (returnable hardware deposit would be required).
4Do you have a unit that doesn’t require any wiring?
Yes, we have a battery powered unit that can be fitted into almost anything and will provide you the same tracking information as the wired unit. This unit has a battery which can last anything form 2 weeks to 5 years depending on the frequency of updates required.
5Do I need to pay a licence fee per user of the software?
No, our software is absolutely free, even if you only have one unit you can have access on as many PC’s and as many users as you wish.
6Do you have units that would monitor in a remote area?
We have many different units that can monitor, alert and report almost anything; please email technical@competitivetracking.co.uk with an explanation of what you want to monitor and where.
7If I sell a vehicle do I need to keep paying the monthly SIM and Service charges?
If you do not need the data from the unit we can switch off the SIM and also the need to pay the subscriptions (30 days’ notice required). The SIM and payment can be restarted at any time too by emailing customerservices@competitivetracking.co.uk
8Do I have to sign a contract?
Competitive tracking do not like contracts or leasing contracts, we totally rely on our customer service levels and competitive pricing to maintain our clients loyalty (we have never lost a client to another tracking company). There is no minimum or maximum contract with any of our products (just a 30 day rolling one).
9Is my tracking unit worth anything second hand?
Yes a fully functional tracking unit does have a second hand value to us; please email purchasing@competitivetracking.co.uk giving us the serial number of the unit and its age.
10Can Your unit determine who is driving the vehicle?
Yes we can provide a driver ID key which will determine who the driver is and the software can be set to give reports on drivers as well as vehicles.
11Can your system record business and private mileage?
Yes using the driver id key we can report on both business & private mileage done in a period.
12Do you dump our data after a set period?
No, all the data is kept and accessible by the client for as long as they are customer.
13Can you provide a Panic Button?
Yes, the panic button can be set to send alerts to any or many if activated. We also have a wireless panic button system that can connect to the tracking unit on a wireless basis and typically can work up to 100 meters away, this is used for a loan worker panic and can tick some boxes regarding health and safety.
14Can I sell on my tracking unit to someone else if I sell the vehicle?
You are able to sell our unit with the vehicle if you wish but you must provide the customer with our details so that we can set them up with software access. Alternatively the unit can be DE installed and reinstalled into your new vehicle and details easily changed within the software.
15What would happen to our service if Competitive tracking ceased to trade?
We have covered all the aspects in this scenario and many others too; we have agreements in place that guarantee continuation of our services to our clients in the event of this unlikely scenario.
16Do you provide a service nationally and internationally too?
Yes we can provide our service globally.
17What is your warranty policy?
All our units are covered by a 36 months warranty as standard (This also includes engineer call out charges for 12 months if we have fitted the unit). Extended warranty up to 3 years is available if required at extra cost.
18How many years will the unit last?
We have had units working for 7 years now and still working fine, there are no moving parts in the unit so as long as they are kept dry and fitted properly there is no reason why they should go on well beyond a decade.
19Can you supply us with a bespoke report?
Yes, as long as we are retrieving the correct data we can bespoke a report for you.
20Is there a minimum or maximum number of tracking units you can supply?
No, we can supply anything from 1 to Thousands.
21If I have 10 vehicles, can I give vision of only one vehicle to a third party?
Yes, the whole software is user configurable so you can give access to any number of your assets to anyone you like, you are also able to choose the level of functionality you want to give them access to.
22Can you alert by text as well as email?
Yes, there are many alerts that can be set up on the system (almost anything), these can be alerted via Pop up box, text, email, mobile app or all 4.
