Competitive Tracking Ltd also has a tracking unit that requires no wiring whatsoever; this unit is powered by a battery which can last up to 5 years before requiring a charge (dependent on update rate), it can also be wired in to pick up charge from the trailers electrics when connected to the tractor unit or can just be charged every now and then using 240V adapter or cigar lighter 12V/24V supply. This unit has many inputs so can be used for very varied remote and non remote solutions.
